We are seeking an experienced and reliable Welder / Fabricator. The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, welding, assembly and finishing of a variety of metal components and structures, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of quality, safety and accuracy.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, plans and welding specifications.
Measure, mark out, cut and prepare metal materials for fabrication.
Perform MIG, TIG and/or MMA welding as required.
Fabricate and assemble steel, stainless steel and other metal components.
Use workshop machinery and hand tools safely and effectively.
Check dimensions, welds and finished work to ensure quality standards are met.
Carry out grinding, finishing and preparation of fabricated components.
Identify and resolve fabrication or welding issues.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Follow all company health and safety procedures.
Complete work within agreed deadlines and production schedules.
Work independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience in a welding/fabrication role.
Ability to read and understand technical/engineering drawings.
Good knowledge of welding and metal fabrication techniques.
Ability to accurately measure, cut and assemble components.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Good understanding of workplace health and safety.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Reliable, punctual and willing to work as part of a team.
Relevant welding/fabrication qualifications or apprenticeship experience are desirable.
