Tekla Detailer

Our client is seeking a Tekla Detailer to produce accurate, fabrication-ready 3D models and detailed drawings for a variety of structural and architectural steel projects. Working closely with engineers, project managers, fabricators and the design team, you will play an important role in taking projects from initial design through to fabrication and installation.

• Create and develop detailed 3D structural steel models using Tekla Structures
• Produce accurate fabrication and erection drawings, including GA, assembly and single-part drawings
• Interpret architectural, structural and engineering drawings and specifications
• Develop connections, steelwork components and detailing solutions to project requirements
• Ensure models and drawings are accurate, complete and suitable for fabrication and erection
• Generate material lists, bills of materials and other fabrication information
• Liaise with engineers, architects, project managers and production teams to resolve technical and detailing issues
• Coordinate steelwork models with other disciplines and identify clashes or design issues
• Revise models and drawings in line with design changes
• Ensure all detailing complies with relevant standards and specifications
• Work with the fabrication team to ensure designs are practical, efficient and suitable for manufacture
• Assist with project planning and manage detailing work to agreed deadlines
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement

Requirements

• Proven experience using Tekla Structures for structural steel detailing
• Strong ability to read architectural, structural and engineering drawings
• High standard of accuracy and attention to detail
