About This Role

We are looking for a competent Tradesman mainly to install vinyl flooring and carpet tiles, but also install other floor coverings. You will engage with clients, construction managers and property managers. You will organise and plan installations and carry out accurate measures. You will on occasions be required to assist in the installation of other floor and wall finishes.

·       Capable of reading drawings

Key Responsibilities Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and workplace assessments to identify hazards and ensure appropriate control measures are implemented. Assist with the delivery of site inductions, toolbox talks, safety briefings, and health and safety training. Promote a positive safety culture and encourage employees and subcontractors to take ownership of health and safety. Review subcontractor health and safety documentation and monitor subcontractor compliance while working on company projects. Participate in pre-start meetings, site meetings, safety meetings, and project reviews as required. Assist with the management of occupational health requirements, including monitoring relevant exposure risks and workplace controls. Support emergency preparedness, including drills and reviews of emergency procedures. Keep up to date with changes in Irish health and safety legislation and industry best practice. Assist with internal and external audits and with maintaining relevant management system standards. Provide regular health and safety reports and updates to management.

The role will involve the preparation and installation of wall and floor tiles, including ceramic, porcelain, natural stone and large-format tiles.
