About This Role

A well-established Irish manufacturing company specialising in precision metalwork and fabrication is seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join their skilled production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified tradesperson to work on diverse projects in a modern facility.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG, TIG, and arc welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
  • Fabricate metal components and assemblies to precise tolerances
  • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions
  • Carry out grinding, cutting, and finishing work as required

Essential Requirements

  • Recognised qualification in Welding (City & Guilds, FETAC Level 6, or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3 years experience in MIG and TIG welding
  • Proven ability to read and work from technical drawings
  • Experience welding various metals
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a workshop environment

Desirable

  • Coded welder certification to EN ISO 9606 or AWS standards
  • Experience in heavy fabrication or structural steelwork
  • Forklift licence or willingness to obtain
  • Manual handling and Safe Pass certification
