MIG/MAG Structural Steel Welder

Foresight are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established engineering and construction company based in Co. Cork, for two experienced MIG/MAG Structural Steel Welders. The successful candidates will play a key role in the fabrication and site installation of steel structures, with a particular focus on agricultural and commercial shed installation.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Carry out MIG/MAG welding of structural steel components to a high standard
• Participate in the site installation of sheds and steel structures
• Operate cutting and drilling equipment as part of general steel fabrication tasks
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Ensure all work meets quality, safety and compliance standards
• Work as part of a team on both workshop and on-site assignments
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and orderly condition

Requirements

• Proven experience in MIG/MAG structural steel welding
• Experience in site installation of agricultural or commercial sheds
• Competence in operating cutting and drilling equipment
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Full driving licence desirable
• Ability to work outdoors and travel to sites as required
